Synopsis South to southwest winds will increase across the local waters tonight through Wednesday, in advance of a cold front that will be approaching the region from the northwest. This front is expected to pass across the area on Wednesday night. Surface high pressure will shift eastward off the coast of the Carolinas early this weekend, maintaining a rather strong wind flow over the Atlantic waters.
